This project involves the re-design, design, development and website optimization and maintenance of the BeCause online platform.
The company is on a mission to make sustainability everyone’s everyday business by making it easier to collect, coordinate and communicate a company’s sustainability information in a single place.
Due to the previous BeCause website being an MVP a new unified design system was introduced. The visual system included guidelines for layouts, colors, icons, and other components that could be used in future scenarios. Another big task I was challenged with was simplifying and further developing the overall user experience and user interface for all platform pages and features making them more intuitive and user-friendly.
<p-under-img>The tasks mentioned above were where I spent most of my time. However, I also assisted in other parts of the development of the platform - creating the pages in Webflow, and in rare cases creating forms in ActiveCampaign or HubSpot.<p-under-img>
Aside from the standard website pages, the main challenge was designing the Front and Back office features. That is where businesses can showcase their sustainability information in the form of a CV and the place where they can add, edit and update this information in the background, as well as monitor other key performance indicators to make better decisions and optimize their operational processes and sustainability practices.
Because these two are the core of the platform it was important that they are well-thought thorough, and easy to navigate and interact with.
